Our History
Honeypot Academy began its journey in 2009 as a small nursery school, founded with the vision of providing quality early childhood education in the heart of Adenta, Accra. Starting with just a handful of students and a passionate team of educators, the academy quickly gained recognition for its nurturing environment and dedication to excellence.
Over the years, Honeypot Academy expanded its programs to include Lower Primary and Upper Primary levels, catering to the growing educational needs of the community. Each stage of development was marked by a commitment to holistic growth, ensuring students not only excel academically but also develop socially, emotionally, and creatively.
In 2015, Honeypot Academy opened its first modern computer lab and library, further enhancing its resources to provide students with the tools needed for 21st-century learning. This milestone marked the academy’s transition into a full-fledged educational institution, earning accolades for its innovative curriculum and student-centered approach.
Today, Honeypot Academy is proud to be a leader in education, combining traditional values with modern teaching methodologies. With a strong focus on fostering a love for learning, the academy has become a beacon of inspiration for families seeking a supportive and empowering school environment for their children.

Our Founder: Mrs. Hannah Owusuaa Boatey

Mrs. Hannah Owusuaa Boatey, the founder of Honeypot Academy, was a dedicated educator whose passion for nurturing young minds inspired the establishment of the school in 2009. With years of experience in teaching and a commitment to excellence, she envisioned a learning environment where children could thrive academically and personally.
Her leadership and tireless efforts laid the foundation for the academy's growth and success. Mrs. Boatey’s philosophy of holistic education continues to guide the school’s mission, ensuring that students are not only well-educated but also well-rounded individuals prepared to make a difference in the world.
Sadly, Mrs. Boatey passed away in 2016, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love for education. Her vision and values remain at the heart of Honeypot Academy, inspiring educators and students alike to strive for excellence.
