Our History

Honeypot Academy in its early days

Honeypot Academy began its journey in 2009 as a small nursery school, founded with the vision of providing quality early childhood education in the heart of Adenta, Accra. Starting with just 22 students and a passionate team of 5 educators, we quickly gained recognition for our nurturing environment and commitment to excellence.

Our growth milestones include:

  • 2012: Expanded to include Lower Primary classes
  • 2015: Opened our first modern computer lab and library
  • 2018: Added Upper Primary levels
  • 2020: Implemented our innovative STEM curriculum

Today, we continue to blend traditional values with innovative teaching methods to shape confident, well-rounded individuals ready to make a positive impact in their communities.

Our Founder: Mrs. Hannah Owusuaa Boatey

Honoring the legacy of a visionary educator and compassionate leader.

Mrs. Hannah Owusuaa Boatey founded Honeypot Academy in 2009 with a clear vision: to create a nurturing environment where children could develop a lifelong love for learning. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she believed education should cultivate both academic excellence and strong moral character.

Her leadership philosophy emphasized:

  • Individual attention for each student
  • Holistic development beyond academics
  • Community engagement and parental involvement

Though Mrs. Boatey passed away in 2016, her educational philosophy continues to guide our institution. We honor her memory by maintaining the high standards she established while adapting to the evolving needs of 21st-century education.
